Volunteers are needed to expand care to the medically underserved. This position will assist people in need remain healthy, active and independent. Listed below are the volunteer positions that are currently available for health care assistance.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) promotes volunteerism and helps people over age 50 find their perfect volunteer niche among approximately 130 affiliated public or non-profits agencies. RSVP volunteers can be connected to opportunities at the major area hospitals, to lifeline services, to services for the blind, to the Blood Source and agencies that provide information and services to the public regarding cancer, arthritis, and diabetes. As part of the SPIRIT (Sacramento Physicians’ Initiative to Reach Out, Innovate and Teach) Project, medical practitioners with current license and in good standing can volunteer their services at County clinics or provide services through their own offices.
